Try Ebay left side tab "Sold For" listings for each item, that will give you good price ranging from actual sales.

Check out the SOLD FOR listings on Ebay. That will give you a very good idea what these items have ACTUALLY sold for.

I have that kit. Won the bid on it on shopgoodwill for less than $30, if I recall. My observation is that the Maxxum series of Minoltas aren’t that desirable in the used market. It’s probably because they are much more plasticy than their predecessors, the X and SR series. And the demand for “vintage” film cameras is much stronger for the manual cameras than the early fully automated ones.

I bought a second Maxxum 7000 body on eBay for around $30. Don't know about the 5 but the 7000s don't seem "plasticky". Solid cameras. If the 5 is like the QTsi (plasticky P&S) then the $30 mentioned is probably in the ballpark.

I have a Maxxum 7000 which is all metal, so different Maxxum models must vary in construction

I should probably clarify, the Maxxum HTsi, QTsi, etc. were much like the Pentax ZX series in that they were made mostly of plastic. The Maxxum 5 appears to be the same. The Maxxum 7000 and 9000 I've obtained had top and bottom plates that also seemed to be made plastic, but a heavier, harder plastic than the previous ones. They probably had a metal frame onto which the outer covers were attached. The problem I had with the 7000 was the plastic on the built-in battery grip was covered with a white substance that couldn't be removed. I've bought two 9000's trying to get one without a bleeding LCD - which is apparently a big problem with these cameras. If anyone knows a repair source that can replace that particular LCD, I'd appreciate a referral. The camera is fine other than the bleeding LCD.

$30..... If it were a 5D $240 or so. I used to own the 5D. Still have one of the lenses, 70-300 macro, and use it on my Nikon.

I'm going with the other two responders who suggest going to the advanced search of eBay and entering each individual item in the description box then check the box for sold items and click the "search" button. The results are actual sales which are the best indication of real values.

You should NOT buy ANY of these.
The BEST of them have no $ value.
and are going belly up day by day.

If you have any left over Maxxum
lenses that are worth using, just
pick up a Sony digital body. Some
of these will cost less than a $30
Maxxum and your first few rolls of
film and chemicals .....
