Went out and found a Spoonbill in the Osprey tree today ! In January, the mature spoonbills start to get their breeding colors. Lower lighting for the Spoonbill was soft and diffused and I was trading shutter speed for lower ISO (always dangerous/stupid !) - Canon 80D, 1/800 and ISO 250 @ 560mm from monopod. The spoonbill was stationary - so it seemed doable - till the Spoonbill started jumping around ! So, this image does have some motion blur but I am hoping the subject and pose will over-ride that. Both these images have 50% crops
The Osprey is hand held @400mm.
Thanks for stopping by !

Beautiful Larry ---and only hope to do this well!
