The 5Dsr is a very niche oriented camera. For the same monies, I would be looking to the future with new Canon mirrorless !
The problem is that Canon lags behind in the mirrorless market, read comparisons between Sony and the new Canon, Canon is just not there yet.

I went with 5DSr for landscapes that I can put on my wall, specifically every brick from high above Machu Picchu. If I was into sports photography, the 5D4 would be better. I have no complaints with the camera.
This is not a criticism of the camera, but more of a reflection of how the camera influnces me. When I have my 5DS R I find that sometimes I tend to look for photo opportunities where the resolution could be a significant factor were I to print the image relatively large (e.g., 11x14 or 13x19 for a wall hanging). In that sense, I find that I may spend more time thinking about the composition when I have the 5DS R, almost like shooting with film.

Are these offered cameras used or new gray market? Or even used gray market?
If new gray market then you will have no Canon warranty - any warranty offered will be from non factory third party repair facilities.
Canon will repair gray market cameras.

But no warranty - cash at the going rate.

True, but responding to the post that Canon will not repair at all.

No, I said "no Canon warranty". That any warranty offered would be third party non-Canon repair facilities.
