You have left out the first letter (c).

Yeah, it was a big disappointment, probably had a lot to do with the moisture laden air, but that's no excuse. Plus the TV coverage has really gone downhill the past few years. And what was with that outfit Ms Aguilera was wearing?
It seem more and more it is not the talent that is important but the wardrobe. It all started with that John guy and lady gaga. Now Celon has great talent but she has gone to the dark side.

OMG. Rose parade starting with RAP. 🤮
You are correct my experience is many people believe everything that is delivered to them. Rap is the same. Music has many elements to it, tone, tempo, fluctuations, rhythm, cadence, being able to sing, etc. Ray Charles says rap is not music because it only contains one element of music, cadence. I agree, my two cents worth.
Vegas used to have a parade at the end of May called the Helldorado Parade. We went once and it was nothing but black people strutting down the street to a bunch of drums. Never went again.
Now some of you before you start the prejudice thingy. I do not care what color the skin is if they have talent. I like Lou Rawl, Sammy Davis Jr., the Four Tops, Lionel Richie, And many more.

Innovative? Surely you jest.
Rap is Crap.

"Talent"? Surely, you jest. I'd rather watch Guy Lombardo reruns.
We were watching the Honeymooners marathon that was playing. Much, much better than what the networks were broadcasting.
Went to bed at 10:00, December 31 is just another day. January 1, 2019 however--woke up to the Arizona Desert covered in about 3 inches of snow. Post pictures later.

Watched the rose ball parade felt sorry for the last two floats and bands that couldn’t be shown because of the breakdown of the train float, how disappointed they must have been all those hours of work and practice for nothing not including all the money spent

That totally sucked. Couldn’t see anything because of the fireworks smoke.
Stand by the Idaho Potato Drop at 12 MT!
The entire Dick Clark New York City show was a total and complete BUST! The weather did not concern me, as much as the show, the talk and the ADS! Those were the worst. On one station, it was listed as Dick Clark's, etc. but for 20 longgggg minutes it was two ads over and over and over again. Believe me, I will NEVER tune into the Bachelor show. Then to top it all off, midnight saw NOTHING! The ball was so obscured by fireworks smoke.
Now to the Rose Parade....if I were back in Los Angeles, I would have seen the ENTIRE parade on KTLA (Channel 5) with no interruptions! But here we are in New Hampshire, and a lot of floats as well as marching bands were CUT from the telecast because of the imbecilic amount of advertising, and the show hosts talking incessantly about other things. The only redeeming factor of the whole day was the Rose Bowl game.

Rose parade also sucked. Starting out out with rap is one thing, but cutting to commercials just as your favorite group came int view really sucked. Watched the first half hour then switched to Impractical jokers show.
There is one station that covers the Rose Parade without cutting to commercials. It is the one that has been covering it since 1947, KTLA channel 5 Los Angeles. Always watch it on that channel. They then follow it with a repeat that does cut to commercials.
