To check my settings from my last shoot. How long will it take me to learn this one?

Good one!

My New Years Resolution is to sell gear I’m not using and buy the PERFECT lens for my new camera. Is there such a thing?

Happy New Year to all of you. This site has been a tremendous help in my photographic journey.

My New Year's Resolution. Dont buy cameras and equipment on line. Buy in a store you feel comfortable with. I like to fondle stuff. That way there are NO surprises. HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

f8 and be there

Ok , it's not original but the first thought.

I honestly do that. I have onr of the custom settings on my camera set to f8, auto ISO, and 1/320 wit that 28-300 lens mounted. And I take it with me wherever I go and it works surprisingly well most of the time.

To retire (for the 7th time), relocate to where there's something prettier to shoot and then shoot more!

I went down to the basement and was cleaning things up a bit and came across a container that had a bottle of scotch in it (Glenmorangie 10 yr). It seemed pretty light so I opened it up and the bottle had only about an inch left. It's been several years since I had a good glass of scotch.

So I have hereby resolved to drink more scotch this year.

(I will probably limit it to what I found but that's still more than usual).

I spent New Years Eve cleaning up the spare bedroom / junk room to try to turn it into a small studio. I found over $400 in coins and another $300 in Euros stuffed in various jars and boxes. I brought the coins to the local Coin Star and the $400 is going straight into my GAS can.

Nice start to the year.
