Although there is an "ominous" feel to the portrait, which is its own story, I feel the landscape shows the beauty of the sky which may be what you were after.

Hi Brent. I also prefer the Landscape composition. It's always interesting to see how people choose when given the choice. Have a Happy New Year Brent.

Thank you everyone for your participation with this survey. To this point it is very lopsided in favor of the landscape over the portrait composition. The score is 28 to 4.
