Tiny Fungi

I found this tiny mushroom in the woods two weeks ago and brought it home where it dried up. It's about 3/8-inch in diameter and I thought that it would make a good texture study. I placed a pail blue plastic grocery bag behind it but the with the light fall off it showed a much darker blue.

Keeping in the spirit of insects, I attached a small mushroom that I found earlier that has a small insect crawling on it.

May everyone have a joyous 2019 with an abundance of shooting opportunities. As the saying goes, keep your friends close but your camera closer!

Very nice sippyjug, mushrooms are very difficult to shoot well.

I see two insects. A small cricket nymph and a possible Psocid on stalk?? I believe the mushroom to be a bolete.

Nice ones Gary, fungi can make a nice subject but not always easy to do.

👍. And happy new year, everyone. Let's go look for cool bugs (well, I wish I could...).
