10 year is clear without any ability of trump supporters to say otherwise. That would be like saying he never said I will be proud to shut down the government (two weeks ago in the Oval Office of all places).

You and your co-believers can defend Trump right up until the end - much like the band on the Titanic continued to play as they sank into the sea. Trump's presidency is finished, his legacy is failure and worse. The faces with eggs are those of trump supporters who aimed poorly and hit themselves.

The clearest dishonesty is that embodied by trump and enabled by his supporters. Weeks ago the WP counted trump lies and misrepresentation in excess of 7,000. No honest American can condone such atrocious behavior in a person elected to the Presidency. Continued deflections against trump's lying nature and the attempts to throw the problems back onto the liberals is absurd. This whole board in NOT about "my dog is better than your dog", it is about genuine concern for the state of the union. Stop wasting time defending his lies, acknowledge them so we can get Congress to move off the dime. Read the farewell speeches given yesterday by several Senators including Hatch, Flake et al. If afterwards you remain unconvinced of the danger trump poses then I question where your loyalties truly are.

The president has nothing to do with the pay raise! Since 2017, it has been equal to ECI, and Trump proposed a raise equal to ECI again in 2019 at 2.6 percent, which the president’s fiscal 2019 budget described as “modest.”

“This pay raise is equal to the increase in the Employment Cost Index (ECI) for wages and salaries, for private industry workers as called for in law, and it is the highest military pay raise in 9 years,” the budget says.

That’s what the president meant to say — “the highest military pay raise in 9 years” — without mentioning, as his budget does, that it is equal to the amount “called for in law.”

Well, to nit pick........

The past years raises were less than inflation, so it was not an economic raise. It was the single largest raise in a long time (about ten years.....familiar number?) and above inflation.

If it was anyone but Trump the press, and you, would have heard the entire presentation and figured out he moshed the 10 years with the 10%.

Hell, if Obama had done it both of you would have compared it to the multiplying of the biblical fish!
