I haven't sold one of mine, either. In order from oldest to newest:
Nikkormat ftn
Alpa SLR
Nikon F
Rollei TWR
Nikon D3100
Nikon D7100 (I bought this one gently used, in great condition, body + a battery pack

One of these days, I am going to shoot some film in the Nikon F and the Rollei.

Converted H-alpha. Could you explain that further. Infrared?

A-alpha is sensitive to red such as nebulas

I guess I'm different. When I buy something new to replace something that's outdated or worn out I get rid of the old one. That goes for phones, TVs, computers and, yes, cameras. I have my Canon digital camera, though it's getting old now. And I have a reasonably okay Nikon film camera from my film days. That's it besides the very usable one in my iPhone XR. Musical instruments is another story. But even there I don't hoard dozens of instruments like some musicians/collectors do. Space is an issue.

1970s My very first camera was a Mickey Mouse 135 film cartridge camera - Mickey's nose was the lens..then came...
Minolta 110 "instamatic" film camera (that was a well built camera for the 110 format)
A Kodak disc camera (the film era's M4/3 format :) )
Praktica LB-2/ 50mm f/2.8 - all manual 35mm film SLR (I really wanted a more substantial SLR at the time but my parents couldn't afford one - yet took some nice print and slide photos with the Praktica!)
1980s thru to today Olympus OM-2s/4T film SLRs - loved these cameras - still have them - had some nice Olympus, Tokina and Sigma lenses of the time.
2000 Olympus 3030 Camedia 3.3. MP - my first digital camera, and it was "mirrorless"! Used those crazy smartmedia cards. But, I always thought digital cameras from then on would be mirrorless.
2015 Nikon D3300 - my first DSLR + kit lenses
2017 Nikon D7200 + a bunch of lenses.

I often replace things that are still in good working order. If I don't find someone that wants it goes to Habitat reStore. I was surprised how many people keep things just to have it. Collectors, of course, are a different story.

To each their own.

In the world of collectibles, there are two kinds. User Collectors and Shelf Collectors. I’m among the former, and often pull out the old examples to run a roll or few sheets of film.

There is pleasure to be had in bringing these objects from the past back to life in the way in which they were intended to be used. Cameras, fountain pens, or tools. It connects me to our collective past.

I think you’re the winner of the “he who dies with the most toys” contest!
