I thought about trying to bring up some details in the tree, but decided against it. I liked it has a foreground element, but wanted the main focal point be the road leading into the sunset and thought more details would detract from that.

I shot the photo with a canon 70D and EFS 18-135 lens at 18mm, f9, ISO100 and 1/20 sec.

Yes - Smallest mountain range in the world. Sits smack dab in the middle of the Sacramento Valley.

Thanks for the reply. I have a son who lives in Yuba City. It's a long haul from central WI to Yuba City so we only get out there once a year, and I thought I recognized the name. Again, thanks...

It is a long drive. I will be headed to Tomahawk this summer for a family reunion. We try to do one every few years. The northwoods of Wisconsin have some beautiful areas.
