Quite a bit of variety here...
Nikon 18-70 DX lens on my D7100. My wife keeps the Sigma 18-300 VR on hers.
If it's nighttime and I'm going walkabout, I'll often substitute the Nikon 50mm f 1.8.

I keep at least one camera (preset for most parameters) on a nearby shelf set to allow me to grab it and go quickly in case of an unexpected photo opportunity. Have mixed feelings about a zoom vs. just a 50mm (FF) or 35mm (Crop). What do you favor?
I use a 14-150 zoom (M43). When I use a prime, I use a 50mm (also M43). Sometimes I use the 50mm with a focal reducer as a 35mm (M43).
I save the 25mm (M43 again) for use in small rooms.
I like the setup on my T3i, Canon 18-55. I just got a 5Dii, currently with a Canon EF IS 28-80.
I had a 50mm on my SLR's for years, and didn't really like it all that much. It was a Canon FD 55 f1.4, fast lens, but there were many times I wished I had wide-angle capability, and also the inability to zoom a little. My 2 cents worth.

Hello everyone!
Canon 6D II with 70-200L IS II.
We live a bit rural and my Canon stays by the door, as nature brings us some nice subjects!
My wife keeps a 24-105 on her 6D. She shoots images for our local animal shelter 2 to 3 times a week. Her "purse" is her camera bag. It goes everywhere she does.
Tamron 18-400mm for my Canon 7D MKii APSC camera for 99% of my shooting.
My 18-135 stays on my Fuji X-T2.
I keep a 24-70mm f/2.8 Nikon lens on my Nikon DF, I think a zoom gives me more versatility from wide angle to reach out to 70mm
Before you think of anything else, the more you carry the heavier it is. Just try running with a camera body and 5 lenses. With that being written, I carry my Canon 5D with a ready to go prime lens as a 28-135mm. This is a great "go to" lens because it has good coverage and is very versatile. I also have a 70-300mm for most coverage above that. Then I carry a 14mm fisheye. I rarely use that one. There are only a few shots for that one. I might leave that one out of my case. I will put it on the shelf next to my 24mm tilt shift lens. You can add some 2X multipliers instead. But you lose two f-stops and you need to lengthen the shutter speed. That can be a bad trade-off.

I shoot M4/3 so in 35mm FOV terms.
One body has a 24mm to 80mm f2.8 and the second body has a 80mm to 300mm f2.8.
My go to walk around kit is a Canon 80D and the EF-S 18-135 STM. This provides a great range for photos and the lens being an STM works great if I need to suddenly take video.
Tamron 16-300 on a Canon 80D

Tamron 28-75 f2.8 on my d3400 and Tamron 18-200 f3.5-6.3 on my D50 with a Nikon 50mm f1.8 prime nearby.
70-200 with 1.4 extender on my crop camera and a 24-70 on my full frame camera
It depends on which camera I'm grabbing.
