What recommendations are there for long (36 inches or more) selfie stick that incorporates a tripod in the handle and includes a remote control? It doesn’t have to be very expensive, just sturdy and reliable.
In other words, you want a tripod that folds up to a selfie stick? What do you want to attach to this imagined tripod/selfie stick hybrid thing - a smart phone or a dedicated camera? How do you want the built-in remote communicate with your camera device? Bluetooth, Wifi or cable?

Any tripod leg used for a selfie stick would be heavy and still require the attachment to the camera attached.

I can't imagine how difficult it would be to hold a selfie stick with my Nikon D4s attached.
Yes, a tripod that folds into a selfie stick. I want to attach an iPhone 6s using a Bluetooth remote.

My recommendation:
Buy a collapsible lightweight tripod designed for small pocket cameras. Then buy a cheap selfie stick and remove the smartphone holder clamp; you should be able to screw this directly into the tripod socket. Then all you need is a Bluetooth remote device so you can operate the shutter from a distance.
If you want is to operate the phone camera while holding the collapsed tripod, then it is best to get a selfie stick with remote button built into the handle, disassemble the selfie stick and take out the button and cable, and attach the button and cable along one of the tripod legs with adhesive (glue or tape), such that the plug can be inserted into the phone. It won't look pretty, but it will get the job done and it won't cost much either.
Keep in mind, selfie sticks are very effective as monopods (that's basically what I use my selfie stick for!) - perhaps you don't really need a tripod after all.
