I am sorry (LOL). The typo in this sentence has everything to do with the OP's post.

I'm just as comfortable in a garage, a barn mucking horses, a workshop, swinging a hammer, or behind a sewing machine, as I am in a kitchen. Never considered that because I was a woman that I couldn't do anything else that I wanted to do. I was lucky, my father never considered the gender when dealing with my sister and me. We shoveled snow, mowed the lawn, dug the garden, helped him build houses and did anything that he would have expected if he'd had sons. Children not only learn at school but at home, too, and the lessons my father taught me have molded my life as much as what I learned in school. My Dad did not see gender, he saw a warm body with arms and legs and a head that could do almost anything they wanted to do. He once said to me, "Shoot for the stars. You may only get to the moon, but that's OK, too." And by the way, I think your joke is funny. "PC" is a joke, too.

I kind of like my typo. Actually it was dumb luck there aren't worse ones. I can think so much faster than I type I have been known to reverse a word or even a short sentence. And worse from a spelling point is that I can type faster with my right hand than my left so it is easy to get letters out of order in a owrd.
When I was teaching and doing lesson plans I would proof read and edit before reproducing papers for my classes. I gave extra credit for finding my typos so I could correct the master copies. It got to be a game with the students so I had to leave at least one on every paper for them to find. They especially liked the ones that were real words, just not the right word.

How amazing you get all of that from a simple joke. My wife and even 10 year old granddaughter tell me the same sort of things but showing a woman being better. I think it is cute and give it back to them the next time. Why be offended by a simple joke. Don't you have something more important to be offended by?

Thanks for that meme. These are indeed the days when people need to be told that they should be offended and by what.

Where I worked years ago we had some bazaar shifts when it was busy. The company paid the keep the warehouse kitchen well stocked with hot and cold cereal, milk and other breakfast foods. Each shift had a two hour overlap and during the monthly busy period, which at end of year lasted from January first to mid February, when a lot of people worked doubles, the relief morning shift would cover for the night shift while they took a breakfast break. There was one young lady who never joind in. Her reason was somewhat odd; it appears her mommy did everything for her, including pour her breakfast cereal and clean up afterwards. Since mommy wasn't there to take care of her, she didn't bother. She apparently didn't have a problem pouring her own cereal and milk, it was cleaning the bowl and spoon afterwards. How very odd...!

I am curious as to what you sold on your bazaar shifts. Oh wait!!! Are you trying to say bizarre shifts rather than bazaar?

How dare you make fun of the young lady who had mommy do everything for her. Doesn't she have a right to do things her own way even if it is not your way? Somewhat hypocritical aren't you? See how stupid this PC crap can be for common sense people. I suspect that just about every word coming from you could be judged as offensive by somebody. Sad isn't it?

What happened to "Peace on Earth, Goodwill to men?" Can't we act like that in our posts to each other?

Where is the fun in that?????
But yes, we should be able to agree to disagree with out hate etc involved in it.
I knew a couple where they were both judges - he was CA Superior Court and she was US Court of Appeals 9th Circuit. She was very liberal but I would loan her books by academic conservatives like Thomas Sowell etc. (yes loaned me books written by liberals) and she read them to get the other side's point of view and thanked me for the loans. She even told me she used some of what she learned in a few decisions she wrote. But she was a very nice lady and intelligent, not just a parrot of the correct viewpoint. Her husband was more than a bit conservative and was not only pro-gun, he often carried one and a badge when he worked in a court house in a bad area.
