When a photo holds your attention for more than a fleeting few seconds, it is worthy of praise. It could be of any subject.
As photographers we understand exceptional pictures.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm mostly working in a studio so this is a step away from the normal. Thanks again Tommy!
Fantastic shot! Presume this bird was in captivity, as they are extremely rare, even in Florida?

Yes it was captive and I have no issue admitting that. In my defense, I had little time to photograph. My friends kept me occupied in the short time I was there. Regardless this took over an hour to make this shot through diligence and patience. I know many here frown on captivity images and using flash but it's still an exercise of waiting for the moment and having the desired exposure envisioned. Although the shot is significantly reduced in size, there was no cropping done whatsoever in post. The image filled the frame. This was my first time using HSS and I purposely rode the shutter high to blacken the background during the midday sun.
Apparently, Floridian sources have now concluded that flamingos are native to Florida after many years in debate. There colors are defined interestingly enough by their diet. Thanks for chiming in :)
definitely a keeper.............I like it...............
