Jules,
As usual, some very well crafted high school sports shots. Great work.

As usual some really Nice shots Jules. I had seen on Max you were shooting this event. How many games are you shooting? Did you use a flash almost looks like you did? I need to get back out and shoot some. Been to busy with Christmas to go. There is not much happening this time of the year anyway. Keep it up my friend you are the best. Thanks

One other thing. The more I look at others photographers shots I need to position myself a lot better. I am getting the wrong angle to catch some really nice shots always too many players in the way. Will work on it. Thanks

These are great! Love the expressions and the hair action. ISO? Manual? I do like shooting with the 85

My 85MM shots weren't the greatest. I think like I said if I could get positioned right I could make the 85MM work. Actually I would like to make my 105MM work for basketball also. Someday maybe.

Good Morning Sensorloupe:
Iso was 5000 and I went back to shooting manual for these games.
The lighting was very good. Of course at the Orleans Hotel they want to do things right. It wasn't florescent, more like led lighting.

Tom: For a lot of these shots I am sitting right under the basket. Somewhat dangerous, but have to get the shot.

You are a brave man my friend, I try and get real close but am always cautious. Been hit with baseball 5-6 times, a couple hurt like hell. Hit by football player 3 times. There was one time on sidelines at football game that I was trying to get all the shots of the plays as it was right on me and going out of bounds coming at me. Didn't look at those until I got home to download and do some post work if needed. Holy Shit , I didn't realize how close and fast it was until then. I think I would still be in traction from that one. thanks

Test all settings during warm ups then you will ready to go. Every gym is different, sometimes I am at 8000 iso. yuk
Shoot tight and let the action come to you and fill the frame in the camera. Should help.
Good luck
