This is a truly nice study of a place you obviously enjoy. For me personally, #2 and the last one are the best of the bunch. But that's PURELY personal. I have places that I go back to frequently because for some reason they speak to me. And I never tire of shooting them. Doing the same place or scene through differing seasons/light is an interesting topic and one that has been recently suggested. This would be a really good lead-in to it.

I wonder if Ansel Adams ever asked that question about Yosemite? The sheer variety of exposures, textures, lighting, seasons, etc. you have captured make each image unique and enjoyable. I find myself gravitating to those places close to home where I can try to capture a different feel each time I photograph a familiar scene. Stretches your creative insights to shoot an image of a familiar subject in a new and unique way. Keep shooting, mate!

I really like #s 1 & 4. One was shot in Winter and one in Summer. I'm glad you went back.

This discussion has been very helpful. In my original post I was really considering the many images (literally 100's) of this one place individually and was confident they had all just turned into a blur of sameness. I've now come to see that considered in groups or as some of you've mentioned sets or series or studies, images that are even very similar have a new interest when considered collectively.
Thank you so much!

I have a somewhat similar issue but with wildlife. Very near to where I live are a couple herds of Bighorn sheep, a pair of Great Horned owls and several families of river otter, all of whom I have taken several thousand photos of. (I don't even bother with the deer anymore)
Do I really need more shots of any of these guys? No!
But I'll probably keep taking them anyway. You never know what might be just a little different.

Look for behaviors or close-up on just part of an animal. I got a wonderful shot of a doe just as a dogwood berry is entering her mouth. Another was a close up of an eye and Ear. Also think of the possible abstract designs nature can present. Foget conventional and have gun playing Aroundwith shapes and Light. Thema you het endless possibilities
