Always these great photos. Its noteworthy that you never present us with blown highlights and consistent superior compositions. I had no idea you were a painter. That goes a long way to explain the care with which you address your photography.

I thank you very much, fergmark. I went to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, PA. and studied photography, fine art, graphic art, etc. Below is one of my Pastel Paintings of a young Navajo Indian woman.

Thank you so much for posting this Regis. Thats a wonderful portrait. I have a lot of respect for your talent. I went to the Rocky Mt. School of art, which was a lesser known school in Denver. We had life drawing sessions almost daily. I did struggle with it, but eventually got a feel for it. Many years later I joined a portrait group and went through much struggling, having never really just drawn a large face. Most of the artists in the group were painters but I stuck to graphite or charcoal. Always struggling with proportions.

This was a good learning experience for me by attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, PA. I got into watercolor, oil-painting, charcoal, pencil, etc., but Pastel was my favorite medium. We, also had a lot of life drawing classes several times a week.
