I eagerly downloaded and installed Luminar 3, finally, with - hurray - Libraries. But...it just isn't working.
Libraries don't open, cannot catalog, and it crashes, or sometimes the program itself won't load.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled twice to no avail.
Really disappointing. Anyone else having issues?

Disappointed. I'm having big problems with the updated program. It either won't load, or only partially loads and then locks up. It's totally useless at present. Needs fixing. Still have the original program which worked before installed the new program. [Windows 10]

The first time I opened it all my photos appeared but in no usable order. I deleted and started over and just get a black screen. I can edit from there, but can’t make sense of how to organize my 40,000 photos.

I installed with Windows 10 Pro with no problem. Library shows more photos then I know I have so my problem will be to find a way to remove duplicates.

I installed it quite rapidly without a hitch. Have not tried to use it yet because of all of the issues going on. I would assume that there was some quality control before it was released but unfortunately it is starting to sound like a major headache. Thank goodness Luminar 18 stayed on my computer so at least I can still go into that until all of the bugs get worked out on Luminar 3.

Got it last Tuesday. No installation problems. Very pleased with it. There are several tutorials on Y-Tube. Find it to be easier to use the Library than Lightroom. I use it on a Mac Laptop and I Mac. Sorry others are having so many Problems. I have had several Skylum products since it was Macphun. Never a problem with any. All are easy to use and very powerful.

I downloaded, installed, activated, and created my library with approximately 40,000 pictures all without a hitch. Using Win10 on a 4TB drive. I guess I am the lucky one. So far at least.

It’s definintely a choice for Windows

I take it that you don’t use Photos on the Mac?

I am one of the lucky few who was able to download without a hitch and who is enjoying the program. I assume Skylum will correct all glitches promptly.

Download to my 2016 MacBook Pro took about 20 minutes. No problems. Immediately brought up all of my pictures. All good so far. Enjoying it.

I am having issues:
1. Could not get it for free as specified for Luminar 2018 owners, of which I am one. I had to download the 30 day trial version.
2. The library consists of my pictures folder and the first level folders under that. Folders beneath the first level folders did not load.

Did you use license from 2018 version as when they sent me notice of L3 license key was same as 2018.

No problem with luminar 3, but I like luminar 2018 better easier and I could send my pics from LR and back and I can not do that with Liminar 3. Jim Bianco

I've got it, but after reading about the issues that many are having I'm half way afraid to download it. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 3000 series lap top with Windows 7 Professional and a Intel 15 Core Processor. Maybe I'll build up the courage to download it in a few days. I probably should have waited and let the techs work out the bugs. I normally delay buying a newly released/manufactured product until it has established a decent track record. Live & learn I guess.
