Excellent!
You are really getting this down. A white bird like an egret against a dark background is the way to go!
Yea, took me a while to coordinate everyone but $ talks!
Thanks SG!

BIF, I no butts shots (that I'm showing you).
Wonderful, tk, white bird perfect, good composition. That great egret looks familiar
Yea, Swamp Gator sent him down. I had to pay big bucks for the trip and the set up, but it was worth it!
Thanks Gregory!
Ideally, no 1 would have more room in front of where the bird is flying but... the focus is good/great. Nicely done.

Awesome shots. My only comment would be that in shots with anything looking forward its better to have more space in front than in the back. I hope I made that clear enough....it's 3 am here and I can't sleep. Other than that one critique I think your shots are really great.

tk.... Both great shots but I prefer the first one. A little more frame space on RHS would make it perfect. It wouldn't be too hard to select the bird onto a new layer, move it to the left and clone out the bit's on the original layer which show. Just a suggestion.

i think you caught #1 in the perfect position but cropped to tight at the front, the bird needs to have somewhere to fly,if you get my drift, but a good shot all the same

Exactly what all the other constructive critiques are suggesting..
To most critiques it just looks more pleasing to the eye when the subject is moving into space as opposed to moving from it, be that bird, plane, boats or trains :)
The clear blue sky can highlight post process issues but yours are spot on and we all appreciate just how difficult it is to get the exposure correct for a white bird in such a bright sky
I'm biased and like them both as I like looking at all bird shots.
Is it your preference to have the bird flying from an 'open space'? This is a polite question as it looks like it might have been a concious decision to do the cropping in that manner (again this is a polite question and hopefully you can indeed take these observations in the spirit they are meant? :))
Well done and thank you for sharing those very nice pictures
Best wishes

I see we are all saying the same thing but I am the slowest typer :)

Great shots TK, nice vivid colours.
very nice shots--be happy with them
#1
nice tight crop no waste of space
#2
nice placing of bird in photo and not sticking to the rule of two-thirds.
for my own self would have shot in the vertical mode--just what I prefer
