Ken, Nice Captures. I hear them whispering about your camera.

Nice shots. I have been there many times and just have never been able to capture the majesty of the trees. I don't seem able to get far enough away to gain the necessary perspective and the trees are so large that close ups don't seem to work well either. I have had to make do with shots just showing the "essence" of the trees and their size.

A shot I generally discard -- Glad I kept it ----

"Richardson Grove"

Thank you all for looking & your kind comments

About a 1,000 years ago -- When I was a kid of about 11 we like so many others moved from N.J. to California -- Back then all new housing developments came fully equipped with Redwood Fencing -- I thought that was a great idea ---
Now as an old guy I can finally and fully appreciate just why "they" stopped that terrible miss use of this magnificent natural resource -- May they continue to stand & thrive

Your Redwoods images are very nice! I was there as a child, and again in my late 20's. Your photos make me want to go back again
to witness their beauty and capture nice images.

I come from a family of 12 kids. I have photos from the 60's taken by my mother of me and all of my siblings and my father linking hands around a redwood and still not reaching all the way around. Several years ago I was there with my kids but couldn't find the same tree. I collected seeds from the ground, sprouted them and planted them around my then home in Washington state. Last time I visited they were 25 feet high, healthy and beautiful. Great photos, they bring back welcome memories.
