Blaming anyone before getting the medical examiner’s report is wrong. Why the need for instant gratification? The girl is already dead. She will still be dead when the report is recieved. When we know why she died we can worry about where to point fingers.
Is there some reason you are in a hurry to indict a grieving father?

A voice of reason in the wilderness!

No, indicting the father for the girls death before the report isn’t what I would like to see either. But the media and people in Congress have rushed to indict the border patrol who saved the group in the desert and got the girl to a hospital...where she died the next day.

But charging him with child abuse based on bringing her into the country illegally doesn’t need that report. Seems more clear than charging the mother who left her kid in the car to run into the bank or the mother who allowed her nine year old to ride the subway alone.

Did you complain about it as much as you are complaining about your money helping someone?

More!

I’m good with my money helping US citizens. Lord knows we have a long way to go there!

I watched Cuomo on CNN the other night and he made a huge deal about not blaming the people on the line at this point. Some of who went out of their way to try to help. I haven't heard anyone in the media blaming the border agents at this point, but I'm sure some probably are. Generalizations don't help anyone or any thing.
The father may have been derelict, the border patrol, or some border patrol may be criminally at fault. It may have been some condition she had that no one could have predicted. I'm sure there is more than a couple of persons involved who feel really terrible. The program needs halted or severely modified, but beyond that, we don't know enough to be adding to anyone's misery.
I don't understand your position on Trump, but I shouldn't have jumped to conclusion.

I'm starting to like Cuomo's show. It's a little bland, but he comes across as a genuinely nice guy, he lets the other side talk (to much sometimes) I don't know if it's a great show but it seems like an honest show with out a lot of artificial pumping up of the excitement. I have a great deal of respect for Rachel Maddow, but I wouldn't like her style if she were right wing, and I don't really like it now. It's a good show, it just isn't to my taste.

Surprised to hear that from Cumo! Good for him.

The only full news channel I get is MSNBC. I try to avoid it but the few times I’ve seen it on this issue they have a flock of talking heads attacking the border patrol. More likely they should be commended for saving the rest of the group.

The wall will save hundreds of lives by discouraging such behavior.

I seriously try not to tilt at windmills, and calling you names will just reflect badly on me, so we're just going to have to disagree. I'm half way tempted to argue it with you, but I'm pretty burned out right now. If you at least give thought to what you comment on, that's probably more than I can ask. On another day, if you are open to it, I may ask you to explain more where you are coming from and how you reached your conclusions. I'm more than a little confused as to where you are coming from, but that is hardly your problem.
Later.

Consider this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migrant_deaths_along_the_Mexico–United_States_border

It doesn’t include those who die before they get to the border. Most females are at least raped along the way.

And note: “U.S. Border Patrol reported that 3,221 migrants were rescued in the fiscal year 2017.[4]”

Frustrated with how the leftist media takes tragedies to accuse our government and of course Trump.

We need to discourage parents from putting their children in harm’s way by seeking to illegally transport them into the US. If it were a US citzen that same crowd would be crying out to charge the father for child abuse.

There was NOTHING ILLEGAL - if you are too STUPID to learn the LAW then keep your Trumpublican trap SHUT about the LAW!

8 U.S. Code § 1158 - Asylum

(a) Authority to apply for asylum
(1) In general
Any alien who is physically present in the United States or who arrives in the United States (whether or not at a designated port of arrival and including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters), irrespective of such alien’s status, may apply for asylum in accordance with this section or, where applicable, section 1225(b) of this title.

This has nothing to do with what you incorrectly call the "leftist" media. It has to do with families seeking a better life and with a government and President so isolationist and racist that they defy the Constitution and close the borders even at legal entry points to deter people seeking legitimate asylum. I am not a leftist as you will now presume. But I am a rational American who does not wear blinders and can see the way immigrants are being treated by the government.

Your comment is inaccurate. The ports of entry at the border is not closed and anyone can apply for asylum. In case you were not watching, we have caravans marching here, waving the flag of their country and demanding entrance into ours. That is called an invasion. Now the illegals are demanding money to go away. If as you say, they are looking for a better life, get in line behind all of the people doing it legally and bring some skill set with you so we are not supporting them. It is not rational to put these people ahead of those going through the legal process to get here.

"Oh wait, the 50 billion dollar wall will fix everything!!!" What a crock. SS is right on. You're up in Idaho where they kill animals for sport and believe anything that Nazi of a president says.

I guess you opt for illegals, criminals and drugs pouring into our country?

And my ancestors left the persecution in Europe and came here to Ellis Island. Our immigration laws were much more humane than what they are today. The wall will fix nothing. Only fixing the mess we call immigration laws can do that. And the President doesn't care. By the way...I thought Mexico was going to pay for the damned wall.

How were the laws more humane? Because we did not have illegals invading the country and never leaving?
