Nice shot but not a clue what it might be.

The more I look, the more the first picture looks like deer hair, but no clue to the straight part. Looks like an insect leg part, but???

New thought. The first picture may be the remains of a meal. That may be a leg part of a noctuid or other similarly scaley/hairy moth.

newtoyou is on the right track, I think. It seems to be the leg of a moth, minus the last claw bearing part of the foot.

It looks like part porcupine and part moth so perhaps the remnants of a Porcupine Moth. I think Moss seedheads always make a beautiful subject for macro.

Fabulous shots and great control of lighting. This is a job very, very well done.
