Actually this post has sadly devolved from humor to bitterness.
There is nothing about power but humor.
I later in the post reversed the humor yet the bitter haters seem to have ignored the 3 jokes about men that could be determined by haters as demeaning to men.
Sad we have lost all ability to laugh at ourselves in this nation and everyone is looking for a reason to be offended then raise a stink about their favourite cause of oppression.
So I am unwatching my own post sadly as I just thought we could have a bit of humor this time of year.
PS if you examine the original joke you could determine that husbands are just a bunch of drunkards this time of year and pretty worthless. And is that considered demeaning?

No, if you examine the original joke you will find that the men do what they historically always do and you insulted women by implying all women are bad drivers. The "humorous" part isn't the men getting drunk, it's the implication that all women are bad drivers, which is simply not true or funny. Also, as the OP has a history of disdain towards women, the intent is quite obvious. He is simply playing the victim when in reality, he's the instigator and got called out on it.

It has nothing to do with the forum. It has nothing to do with not being in the attic. What is a disappointment is the folks who tolerate the demeaning humor that some members post. I've seen numerous blonde jokes posted on UHH. Most of them imply that females with blonde hair are less intelligent, which is not true at all. The simple fact that people have to post insulting jokes just to get recognition and a few laughs is disappointing, juvenile and pretty much a reflection on the character of the poster.

No sense bring race into it. The responder you responded to points out how polite the OP is. In my few years as a UHH member, I recall a few of the OP's postings and polite is not a description I would generally use for many of them. It is what it is. There are and probably always will be UHH members who only see the humor and not the implication of the humor, as demeaning as it may be.
I'm a believer of carma. That's one of the reasons I try to live a decent life. If carma is real then I have less to worry about. Can those who condone demeaning humor say the same?!
