The widespread use of DDT decimated the birds at the top of the food chain - osprey and eagles. Forty years ago it might have been hard to find an osprey. With the banning of DDT, these species have bounced back and here in Florida the lakes, rivers, bays, and seashores are home to many osprey!

I would say a hungry bird.
Probably feeding a family.
Also Sheephead, eating size, scales like steel plate, many have met their demise on the end of my rod! (When I lived in Florida)
First look - An osprey and then I googled it. Magnificent bird of prey.
