A very NICE catch Donna - they are quite elusive in my area ! ........thanks for sharing

And thank you for taking a look and for the compliment, Gary! I'm glad you enjoyed these. I hardly ever saw catbirds until a few years ago, so I wonder if they're expanding their range. They're delightful birds.

Oh I'm so sorry about the damage to the trees, Corky. You guys have had so many weather disasters this year and all taking place in such a short time. I hope the new year brings beautiful days ahead...and NO hurricanes. I was amazed by how many were without power from this storm, and one of the fatalities is a truck driver from Alabama. All very sad. And on a much happier note, do put out some suet and attract some catbirds to your property. I tried putting out raisins for them, but they won't touch anything but the suet dough. Take care and be safe!

One of the most elegant birds that visits my feeders. We only get to enjoy them in the summer months since they are a migratory species! Thanks for sharing, Donna!

I know exactly what you mean, Gary. They skulk about and are hard to spot, but their cat sounds are impossible to miss.
