Fine photograph Mr Pops technically as good as it gets.Having the table end in the background gives it some realism.With your skills I would have expected something more original but maybe you know what the judges want? For my taste its a little too twee but if the judges are from the blue rinse brigade you just may have a winner. I wish you luck in any case and assuming first prize is Ferrari might I suggest you lend it to friends ie me at weekends?

Very nice. I like that you captured steam rising off the cup. Makes me want a cup of coffee lol.

I like the steam coming off the coffee. The tabletop or counter that you are using works well with the cup and saucer. But I can not wrap my head around the rose on the plate as opposed to it being next to the cup and saucer. BTW best of luck in the competition.

As we would expect, I think this photo is technically good. If it were mine, I would have used a porcelain cup and saucer, if available. If not available, I would have made the decorations on the cup pop a bit more, and used a table cloth.

I'm on the fence regarding the dark brown spots of the table cover. They are drawing much of my attention.

Thank you so much for your kind words Canada boy. Not sure how the judges will go with this but wanted to give it a try. First prize is not a Ferrari, I would win bragging rights and some money that would in turn go to a charity.
