I was watching this guy for a few minutes, didn't know he had his eye on lunch so I missed the strike. These were taken with just a 140mm zoom so pretty severely cropped. Down loads might help some.
Holy Crap!!! Never even heard of that much less seen it..... what a capture!!
What happens if he can’t get it down?
Wow thought they went after the small stuff
Amazing. Apparently this guy knows knows more about hunting than the average GBH. Fish an frogs are okay but a change in diet is good. Great series and story.

Yeah, A surprise for me too.

I think, if he got it that far down, it's probably safely on it's way.

I have a photo of a GBH with a huge frog and I've seen photos of GBHs with some really big fish. At least one of which the GBH had to give up on. But this was a first for me.

Thank you, LESTAHL. I appreciate it. Glad you liked them.
I think many would be surprised about the size of meal a Grievous Bodily Harmer can consume in the one sitting.
I like to watch several ingrate GBH's near a popular fishing park; they've almost given up hunting for themselves when more than a few people are fishing there. One enterprising individual committed grand larceny on a walleye previously caught and consigned to a bucket. S/he just sauntered up, had a quick peek in, looked the other way... then slurped it down when the angler was otherwise engaged. It was at least legal size (15 inches) and appropriately plump, but it hardly seemed to touch the sides.
Very nice action and watched a video sometimes back where one was stalking and catching moles or voles!
Thanks, Swamp-Cork. This guy was hanging around the ground squirrel burrows, but that's not a ground squirrel. Might be a vole, I think it's too big for a mole.

That's a big old vole; rounded nose, small ears & eyes, short tail is always a good quick guideline.

Thanks for the clarification. I appreciate it.
Great series! You wonder how it digests all that fun, the tail etc? And is all its food dead once it hits the stomach?
