Nikon D850 and Adobe PS issues

I recently purchased a Nikon D 850 and also upgraded my Adobe PS to cc2019. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence but ever since the upgrade my computer has been running very slowly. I had a Late 2013 MAC desktop with a fusion drive and 16 gigs of ram. I know that the MAC is getting to the end of its computer life so I purchased a ne IMAC with a solid state drive and 64 gigs of RAM. I was quite surprised to see not much improvement in the performance in PS and LR. I’m wondering if others are having the same problem and if it wasn’t my computer that was the issue but rather a softwear issue or if it’s the large files from the Nikon D850 or both! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I too have a D850 but only 8gb of ram and PS and LR run slow with those big files. (Windows 10 reloaded from scratch with i5 processor, 8gb ram, 1tb drive). I need an upgrade like you did.
