Does anyone know of a book(s) that can help me learn to use my D5600 effectively?

Thanks!

Steve, have you looked for books on Amazon.com? That is my usual go-to source for guide books.

Either go online or to Barns & Nobel, they have books for specific cameras, these books give you more information than going through your owners manual. Good luck with your D5600.

I found Nikon D5600 For Dummies by Julie Adair King to be pretty helpful. I learned quite a bit from it. It is available from Amazon

The Dummies books are great, also the field guide books are excellent.

David Busch`s Nikon D5600 is the gold standard - he has probably sold more camera manuals then the balance of authors combined. It is about 350 pages, easy to understand, well laid out and available on Amazon for under $25 with free shipping.

As others have suggested, Busch's D5600 book which you can get on kindle. Add to that Steve Perry's (UHH member) book on Back Button Autofocus Guide.

I don't own a D5600 however I've been very happy with David Busch Nikon D xxxx books where XXXX would be 5600 in your case.
they are available from Amazon in both paperback and kindle versions. My Nikon D5100 book is 443 pages with clear explanations and frequent example pictures. includes a very detailed and complete index. Chapters on each of major camera systems eg exposure, autofocus, live view, advanced techniques, playback and shooting menus, custom settings, etc, etc

I believe the correct name for Mr. Perry's opus is Secrets to the Nikon Autofocus system.

An excellent read for every Nikon owner.

That's correct. The BBAF is just one chapter from the book but you can get it separately. Autofocus is covered quite well in Busch's book as well.
