These look much better on metallic print paper. I have 8 by 10 samples printed for my portfolio. I will probably make large prints on either plastic or gator board and I'm learning how to coat them with acrylic resin. The resin really makes them pop. Problem is getting the bubbles out and I bought a vacuum system yesterday and I'll try it over the weekend.
Very nice. I love abstract art. They look like beautiful blown glass. How did you do these?
Normally I would reveal how I do things since I'm a teacher by career but these I'm going to keep secret so I can sell them. It's a lot of steps to get to the finished product and I'm still learning. I just saw a video of a guy who uses glass crystal and small Christmas lights to create an effect something like mine but mine are completely computer generated. I am going to try what he does.
Ooh, I love these. A couple of them would look just great on an oversized acrylic print!
These are beautiful. They resemble the glass work done by a friend of mine.
Excellent work! Thanks for sharing. Photography isn't the only art we see here!
I have to clarify something I said. These not not completely computer generated from scratch. I take my Antelope Canyon photos and manipulate them. That's in a different category than completely computer generated. It's a technical distinction but in places like the Del Mar Fair it's important to submit them in the correct category. So it's abstract from existing photos. I've found that the only photos that work to get this range of colors are by using my Antelope Canyon photos. Nothing else gets the color range or depth. So someone asked how I do these and I can tell you the first step; get in a car and drive to Antelope Canyon AZ and spend half a day navigating treacherous walkways to get the starting photos, then the work begins.

Are you using a 2 part resin, one part resin to one part hardener? If so it is probably what O used when making fishing lures. To get the bubbles out I used a hair dryer on medium heat to remove them, might work for you
I like them....but what are they? photos? of what? Fractals? these are done with a camera? Sorry.....I just don't know respectfully trainspotter.
It started out as twirl art which my understanding is to take a regular photo and manipulate the crap out of it to get abstract art. My problem is that most of the art is flat and to symmetric. I started playing around with all kinds of distortions and blend modes and got these. This is a photo I took in Antelope Canyon AZ and it's one of the photos I use to create those abstract pictures. Don't ask me how those colors come out of these photos because I don't have a clue.
