Thanks Sergio and I tend to agree with you. The building distracts in the second image and the other two are not as sharp as I would have liked. I thought they might be fun to look at though.

The first and the last two pictures are excellent. The middle ones are less good and do not contribute positively to the series.

I traveled north of Seattle to Samish Island yesterday looking for raptors. While there, I came across five bald eagles feasting on a dead mallard. Two where fully mature eagles and three were juveniles. I had a good time watching them fight over the poor dead duck and these are a few of the best shots I got over the course of about ten minutes. After that they flew off with the duck well out of my range. Later, near the end of the day, I had one opportunity at a Short-Eared Owl. These are my two best from that single fly-by. I waited at least another half hour for it to fly back but it never happened. The sun went down and I went home. These shots were all taken with a Nikon D500 outfitted with a Tamron 150X600mm G2 lens. Thank you for taking a look at these images. I look forward to any comments you may wish to leave.

Great shots! I live north of Seattle and don’t know how and where to look for owls 🦉 in this area. Do you spot them in trees and wait for them to take flight?

Owl images are amazing. Are you using "Group" AF on your D500?
