Stunning. Why did they spend all that money on Hubble?

Are you imaging tonight "Stepping" .....I just started back on the "Loop" and I am imaging away. Some pretty good data is streaming in now. I am shooting for 12 hours of total exposure time. I will finish the narrow band and RGB for stars tonight - looks like we will be snowed in or iced in for a few days. I just hope there are clear skies once the front passes.
No , I'm fighting a sinus infection . I was out a couple nights ago and collected some more m31 , guiding is good and everything was working in harmony until it started to reach zenith then it started to hiccup and my guiding went into the toilet . It has always been a fight when I'm setup in the backyard trying to get it to do it's meridian flip , I had it set in SGP but, for some reason it didn't do it . The next day I packed everything in until the bad weather leaves , Then I'll start collecting again for m31 and m42 from the drive. I just need to shake this sinus . I got my cables and software for my motor focus and I don't touch the tube or the mount anymore WOOHOO ! I still need to learn how to work it with SGP , I ran a couple nights of testing with the mini v2 control and I 've got my steps for each channel. When I went to sgp , I just fumbled around trying to get it set up .

Good news on your progress with your "up imaging" - hate to hear you are fighting sinus issues. I have to deal with those too. I shot the Clemson/Pitt game last week....forgot my poncho and was drenched before the game started. Although the temps were not bad....low 50s that rain felt like it was freezing and the wind was miserable. It was one of my worst photo outings. I left at halftime - pissed the paper off as they wanted pics of Dabo after the win...along with Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne ...so far I have escaped getting sick. Get well!
Thanks Ed , I was watching that game and others. I've got it got down in my lungs now, Alanna's been working on her childhood house ,it's pretty toxic. She's trying to get it ready to put it on the market . my lil' Squirt has it too from sniffing around out there. I'm doing my best. Thanks for the sequence ,I downloaded it and I just might get to your level some day.

Maybe this will make you chuckle!
Nice shot Ed, nice detail and I like the processing, color is very nice. Just think back a year ago and your frustrations wit NB, you’ve come a long way.
Sorry to hear about the Clemson game, I was trying to find you in the end zone. Of course I was looking for a black poncho..must be the standard color, saw a lot of them. Even if I did happen to know where you were, I would be hard to pick you out of the crowd. Unless of course you happened to have a player run into you.😀
The star field is driving me nuts.....plus the brights are not bright enough and darks have gradient issues. When that happens for me it's off to photoshop.

I forgot the poncho - left in car when I decided to consolidate gear at the last minute into two bags....that was a huge mistake. I was drenched by gametime, cold, miserable, and hated both photography and football by halftime so I left. The paper was bummed that I didn't get post game shots...esp of Dabo, Travis Entienne, and Trevor Lawrence. So, I was the only fool that didn't have rain gear on. The only plus to photographing a game in the rain is that you never have to take a pee break during the game.
Do you use curves and levels in PS ? We've got 4-5 inches of the heavy wet mix , the snowplow just piled big boulders in front of the driveway. Needless to say I'm stuck.
