Hello Bill,
I'm a true believer in education. OJT is great to a point but the base is always going to be a great education. Like some of the other folks I took the NYIP course years ago. along with countless seminars. Still to this day I study everything I can get my hands on that applies to my craft. Yes I shot pro and have for years but that never stopped me from studying two hours a day 5 days a week. I have to get up early to do it but I feel I own it to my customers to give them the best I can.

NYIP, I did OJT as an apprentice, but actually realized that a lot of what was being taught to me was incorrect. Same thing goes for online forums or youtube. I often give my 2 cents here, but I do realize that I probably have misconceptions about how things should be done too. NYIP has been in business since like 1912, and they do know their stuff. They have updated their curriculum as well, a lot more stuff on digital. Just remember, good composition is good composition, no matter what type of camera you are using.

True, bykser. Free information is often worth exactly what you paid for it.
