It has been a while since I have posted. I have been working on my natural light images. Here are a few from this year.
I am lucky, I have found a red head, blonde and brunette to work with consistently. These are talented young women and kind hearted too.
I often use a reflector if needed.
These are shot with a nikon d750 and either the Tamron 70-200 at 200mm f2 or the Sigma Art 135 f1.8.
Thanks for looking.
All lovely photos and illuminated perfectly to my eyes. Well done.
Dennis
Good to see you back. I've always enjoyed seeing your photos and these are terrific. You really out did yourself. As they say "keep shooting".
This is such a breathtaking series alissaspieces...
"...I am lucky, I have found a red head, blonde and brunette to work with consistently. These are talented young women and kind hearted too..." And likewise they also are extremely fortunate to have collaborated with you! Synergy is mutual here... and is what makes for taking narratives entirely to the next level as you and your team have accomplished here...
"I often use a reflector if needed..." my favorite location light modifier also! I use a 54" translucent which doubles as a scrim in harsh sunlight... You have indeed master "natural" ambient... and your visual statement is absolutely superb as a result!
Kudos on makeup, hair and wardrobe styling... combined with your excellent photographic skills they have produced publication quality imagery which I'm certain your entire team cherishes...
And 24 megapixels is more than enough... the D750 renders beautifully (that is in the hands of a skilled artist).
Also I'm pretty certain which images were from "...the Tamron 70-200 at 200mm f2 or the Sigma Art 135 f1.8."
Albeit, please tell me where you found that Tamron 70-200 at 200mm f2?
I can only find a f/2.8 in that wonderful optic, a f/2.0 would be to die for... lol
Yes Sigma and Tamron have (in my humble estimation) eclipsed Nikon in affordable stellar "Pro" optics!
I'm in love with my Sigma fast glass now and as soon as I find that 70-200 f/2.0 Tamron I'll jump on it! :)
So wonderful to follow your incredible journey alissaspieces... You have grown to level of masterful artistry that so many dream of... Kudos to this current effort and I'm truly looking forward to seeing more of your superb fashion editorials...
btw, I can clearly see your skills at creative direction shining through all these epic pose dynamics...
You have a wonderful aesthetic in the aforementioned... I'm certain the talent in these captures appreciate same...
Thank you so much for sharing...
Thank you so very much for taking the time to write all these wonderful things. I feel like I have grown up here at UHH and was very lucky early on to have met a few people who really helped me out.
As for the tamron... my big mistake—- it’s a 2.8! I wish a f2! Lol That glass is a mere $5500 in Nikon! Lol. The sigma is my newest purchase. I’m curious which you think is the Sigma vs Nikon?

Thanks so much. It’s been a bit hectic so I haven’t posted much. But I still peek around here too to get inspired. :)

These are all beautiful! Although the one with the weed in her face makes me want to sneeze!
