Oh Val, your pups are precious and I do have a soft spot for Aussies. Woody, wow-15, that is just wonderful that he is doing well and looks much younger. Does Blue have as much energy as my two do? Just no slowing them down

Debbie, your stories are wonderful - and all the photos everyone is posting are just delightful!
12-pound Trixie was a Humane Society rescue. She has been with me for over nine years. In #1 she is either pondering the mysteries of life or ordering a beer at a bar (someone else's suggestion - had to share
)
In #2 she is wearing a home-made sweater that makes people smile whenever they see us out in the snow.
Awww Linda, Trixie is just precious and I'm so glad you found one another! Penny wears her little sweater out in the snow too, she LOVES the snow and doesn't want to come in and will be a wet dripping mess by time she does get in the door and her little ears just FLY when she runs. Aren't our pets just the best! Thank you for sharing your beautiful girl with us!

My furry kids are the epitome of spoiled! I love them to pieces and I loved seeing everyone else’s family members! Our goldens have taken over our hearts and lives! Sadly, we lost our beloved Sailor in March, but Summer, the puppy , has arrived to join us. Sundance is about three years old.
What a beautiful family of Goldens. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss of Sailor, but Summer is just precious and I always like to think that a small part of the ones I have lost are somehow incorporated in my new additions, they join our homes to help us remember the ones we have lost and to remind us our hearts can still love another.
Thank you for sharing your Goldens with us.

Photophile, I had to laugh when I saw Lionel, that is one very relaxed cat
Just adorable and Foxy is precious as well and in a loving home-that is wonderful! Many thanks for sharing your sweet family with us.

Meet Miss Mews...this cat was given to me as a kitten by my daughter, covered in fleas, totally wild, and a sad story about living in a barn. (my daughter has done this to me many times before.) After countless flea dips, spaying, and de-clawing, this little lady is NOW a special member of the family. She still has two quirk/flaws we can't break her of: My 83 year old mother has an Elvis doll on the hutch that Miss Mews bats off daily, and in my man cave, I have expensive foam sound insulation for my recording area, that she chews little nips out of and drops on the floor......other then that....GREAT CAT

Aww...Miss Mews is adorable and those eyes, BEAUTIFUL. I know all about those wild kittens
ours was a rescue too, fleas, and deathly ill, who almost didn't make it, but they make the best pets. Thank you so much for sharing Mews with us. Greatly appreciated!

KT you certainly have a house full, but I know everyone of them brings you joy and they are all adorable. I would love to get another kitten but hubby says "not right now" so to keep peace, I will agree with the decision and be happy with the dogs
I do miss our cat though.
Many thanks for sharing you group with us, they are wonderful

Hi All,
I love my pets very much and love to do pet photography. I work a full time job and don't get a lot of practice time to practice my pet photography but thought I would share my gang with you and hope to see your pets too!
A little bit about my furry family:
Caiden is my 11 year old Tri-colored Aussie who introduced me to the wonderful world of dog obedience due to being a puppy with no "shut off valve" and my threatening to give him back to his breeder on a weekly basis
I love him dearly, but man those were some rough puppy years.
Karma is my (10 year old-the end of Dec.) Blue Merle Aussie who is my smiley girl. She LOVES everyone, was a therapy dog for almost 4 years and can't get enough of being around people. We've done some competing, but that wasn't her cup of tea, she is happiest when she is with people.
And then we have Penny, our little throw away mixed Shitzu/Terrier. Someone dropped her at my bosses house, and she joined our family at 8 1/2 months old (we guesstimate) in heat, with nails that looked like they had never been cut, but whoever had her, lost out big time. She is a great little girl, who will be 5 on the 13th and she has numerous ribbons from various competitions that we both enjoy participating in.
I'm also including Sasha our cat, who we lost a couple of years ago due to a stroke, she had just turned 16, and we miss her a lot.
All they all have brought me enormous pleasure over the years.
Thanks for letting me share them with you, and I'll hope you'll share your's!

Awww Linda, they are adorable and I know they both bring you much joy. We've had numerous dogs and cats too, I just can't imagine my life without a pet of some type in it and thank you for rescuing both of them. Such a wonderful thing to do

Thank you so much Richard for the kind words. That was very sweet of you. I need to get my rear in gear and straighten up that website, been working on it forever, and am just not happy with it at all (probably why I keep avoiding it
) I too will never understand some people and the horrible pain they can inflict upon a pet or human. It is mind numbing! We do need some type of page for our pets, so I'm going to jump out there and see if Admin can help us out
Thanks again.

All the pictures are gold quality. I'll spend hours looking at them all again and again.
I've been a dog lover|owner sometime after I returned from Germany, where I served in the US Army from early' 46 to November of '48 during The Occupation of Germany. While stationed for a few months in my soon-to-be German War Bride's hometown near Heidelberg and Mannheim, I spotted a couple of darling longhair Dachshunds lying on a doggie pillow on the doorstep of one of the restaurants. That was my first introduction to this lovely, sometimes comic, breed that captured my heart.
After my bride's and my return to the USA, and after my recall back to military duty during the Korean War, and final discharge, over the years we shared our home properties with several smooth hair Dachshunds.
Early in 1990 quite by accident, I was browsing the Internet looking at Dachshund websites and saw two longhair beauties to be surrendered by a young couple who had one toddler, with another baby on the way. Fortunately, my property and my wife and I passed the property check, and soon two gorgeous, friendly, well-trained sweeharts became part of our family. We've "rescued" another set of longhair Dachshunds, since. Let me make it clear, too, that all of these dogs, at my advanced age, have rescued me, too. lol
Here are pictures of Doc (the black and tan) and Oliver, the (brown with touches of black).

What beautiful babies, Debbie! It's no wonder you're so proud of them. I've enjoyed seeing everyone's pictures of their pets. Here's my crew.
Oh Donna, what a wonderful set of photos of your gorgeous pets! Your little King Charles is just precious and the Cockatiels are my favorite birds. We use to have parakeets and I always wanted Cockatiels, it just never happened, but your crew is fantastic and the photographs of all of them are beautiful as well. Bonnie, Buttercup and Punkin are adorable!!!
