Are you specifically referring to sensor size or disk formatting? Senosor would be full frame (rather than format) where formatting would refer to how you format the disk in the camera settings. Regardless, either would be a good a valid question.

Do you mean "large format" or "full frame"?

What we have here is a failure to communicate. Are we referring to the business of preparing the memory card for shooting in a particular camera or are we referring to sensor size?

It's 35mm single frame like Olympus liked to call their Pen cameras back in the day.

In simple terms, it's the size of your "digital film". Bigger "film" gives more resolution and detail. Just like the physical film of sensitized celluloid we used to buy and put in our film cameras.

Today "full format' is equal to a 35mm film camera. Canon non full format SLR is a smaller size so a 100mm lens is a 160 mm lens and in the Nikon the 100mm is a 150mm lens. More pixels in a full frame. The + and - is the non full frame can give you an advantage if you use a telephoto. If you just starting and plan to use a non full frame you might not want to buy lenses that do not work in a full frame as a full frame lens works in both and a non full frame lens does not work in a full frame, you will rebuying lenses.
Today "full format' is equal to a 35mm film c... (show quote)

Really?? That is attic worthy?? I'm sure there is room for you and a lot of the other old ladies. You girls have got to develop a thicker skin. If there was an important situation to overcome, "all ya all" you would be a puddle on the floor.

If the question was a trolling attempt, my first thought was about photographers who are full and not regular.
Seriously, I never heard the term regular applied to a camera. I can see the term meaning the type used by most hobbyists which would likely have less than a full frame sensor, as opposed to professionals who are more likely to use full frame.

"about photographers who are full," I think a lot of the "photographers here are are for sure full of $*#!. The guy asks a simple question makes a mistake in structure or nomenclature and all the old Marys get their panties in a bunch.
