IMHO the picture would be a prize winner IN THE DAYS BEFORE COLOR. it would have been a fantastic shot it color. I think the oohs and aahs over B&W is pretentious personified.

For me, this is the first B & W that I really like. If I had taken and worked on this photo, I would have it printed in canvas large enough to be seen. Excellent!

I love Mabry Mill, photographed it several times... and always got some ice cream uphill from the mill,

You were in exactly the right spot and captured the mill very well. The detail is fine and composition as well. I really like this in B&W. Don Z.
