Fair winds and following seas, Sir.

We have the watch.

Bush fought a bear economy throughout his Presidency. It was just the last couple of months prior to the election that the economy began an upswing that was to last throughout the Clinton years and make many retirement portfilios take off like rockets. I.E., in the late 80's the DOW was around 1000, in 2005 it was over 10,000.

Because of his impeccable character, if GHWB were still alive and younger today, I would hope the Republicans would run him again.

It's because of his impeccable character that linking the Kennedy assassination to his name is something that only those who have nothing to really contribute could invent.

I remember watching a special, a few years ago, about the JFK assassination and how some believed it was a conspiracy. At one point, a picture was show of a man, whom looked like H.W. Bush, standing in front of the door of the book depository smoking a cigarette at the time of the shooting. Immediately after the shooting, he was gone.

Also, does anybody remember H.W.'s 1991 speech about ushering in the NWO?

The Facts are there, the books are available but don't exist in your current bookstore or school library. Since the colapse of the Berlin Wall, to which GHW Bush had nothing to do with or the colapse of communism, the archives of East Berlin, Moscow and new information from the archives of the House of Parliament, historians have updated history since approx. 1900.
Prescot Bush was clearly involved in assisting in the transfer of money to Germany and Hitler; Wall Street helped to finance the Bullshitshevik communist revolution, of which over 65% were communist Jews. The Red Army, White Army and Green Army faught for control of Russia. The communist won because they had control of the army and the peasants.
The books are published and available, if one has the historical tenacity and interest to find the truth, it's not a big "C" theory.

A very good read is Andrew Cook's-The True Story of Sidney Reilly, Ace Of Spies. Very fact based beginning with the Russo/Japanese War.

I visited Dallas twice on business, visited the site and photographed every angle, only a fool would believe Oswald killed Kennedy.
He was shot from three positions, not three shots from a single window.

He passed last night at age 94. The last President who came of age during WW2. And, IMHO, the last true statesman to hold the office.
He oversaw the crumbling of the Russian empire, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the re-unification of Germany. He also put together the international coalition to retake Kuwait from Sadam Hussein.

Complete agreement. Well said...

JFK was shot accidentally by a secret service man in the car behind him. Look up "JFK: The Smoking Gun". Greatest coverup in history.

Bush fought a bear economy throughout his Presiden... (show quote)

Tightening of the money supply during 41's Presidency clearly led to the mild recession, and that is entirely the fault of the Fed.

Clinton rode the coattails of the "Dot Com" boom. Any President would look good during the mid-late 90's with that type of growth.

I've been a student of the body politic for over 50 years, and 41 was clearly not comfortable at the top. Most of the Presidents I've studied sought the office (Fillmore, Andres Johnson, among a few) actively, and GHW seemed as though it were more of a service obligation. He was in the shadow of Reagan, and "required" to keep the Reagan vision intact. He wasn't in his element as a candidate at the top, and it showed. His 1992 campaign was not one of confidence, and even adding Jim Baker as campaign manager, did little to add confidence.

After he left office with such grace, his star really shone. I know of no other former President who garnered such good will from nearly everyone he touched.
