1964 Vette - What was the sticker price...
The 64, coupe or convertible. A true thing of beauty. Back at fort sill in 67 I had the 64 Convertible, 327/365 HP, with a 3.08 rear. fawn brown with 1M candle power lights in the grill. How I managed not to get killed is a wonder. It was rated at 155mph.. ( the fulie version was 165mph ) I chickened out at 135 because it felt like it was going to disintegrate ( bias ply tires ). With the 3.08.. 7000 rpm was 70 in low, 90 in 2nd, 110 in third. 365hp used it every day to whip mustangs even with the 3.08. Price? sold it on the way to Vietnam for $2K.. today in mint condition pushing 60K. Thanks for the memories, Steve411
Ah... Fort Sill. I cleared Fort Sill in March '65, drove home to NY in my '60 MGA roadster and within a couple weeks I'd traded it in as down payment on a new/left over 1964 'Vette roadster. Do you remember the Seven Gables bar on the main drag off post into Lawton? Spent a lot of nights in there! There was a used car dealership close by which is where I got the MGA.

Of all the Corvettes my favorite is the 1963 with the split rear window. Only year it was made and the first car I ever did a complete restoration on except for the paint job! Love to find another
Great shots. I actually owned that vehicle wants and I'm so sorry I sold it.
Only better 'Vette is the '63 Split-back window. Purty beast!
Was at Ft. Sill in late 65. The Car pic.. any questions? ha

Nice photos....btw, they made Corvettes after 1967 but nobody cared...
$3765.00
Absolutely false!! If you follow Vettes you'd know you couldn't get a 2014 C7, I had to wait until 2015 and I still paid
list, a bit more than a mid 60s Vette.
I found it remarkable, the -pushbutton radio- cost more (176.50)
than--
53.80 for the 300 hp engine; 43.05 for the positrac; 43.05 for the power brakes;
and 16.15 for the tinted windows; ALL COMBINED (156.05)
176.50 was for the AM/FM radio, not the standard radio. FM was pretty new at the time.

Some split windows are going for over $100,000!
Yes I know, that's why I cry sometimes.
