A Bald Eagle on a cloudy day.

I tried today to make the best of a cloudy day with occasional rain today.
Hand held at 600mm. Distance was about 125-150 feet.
Canon 5Dsr - Canon 300 2.8 II - Canon 2x III - 1/400 - f/7.1 - ISO @ 640.

Very nice indeed!
Thank you very much, DNW.
Great image, you make it look so easy. Too bad I know better, the dream about it being easy feels good.

It's not as easy as it looks. I had to put my lens and camera in a plastic sleeve to keep my photo gear from getting wet. We had cloudy skies with some rain today. Still better than snow.
Thank you very much, Robert.

I appreciate your good reply, erickter.
Great details, as always, Regis! I've been to some zoos in Florida with injured / recused eagles living out their lives in captivity. At 600mm via an extended 300 2.8, I have some extremely detailed headshots to finish processing from the trip. I don't know if we'll have wild eagles in the immediate Chicago area again in my lifetime or ever. Love your work.

Regis, as far as I am concerned this is still a fantatic photo.
