Could use a little help IDing a Hawk that landed in my yard (S/E Ct.) I know it's not a great shot I had to shoot through the window at quite a distance but this is the first time I have seen a blue-eyed hawk maybe someone can help ID this one, it's about the size of a Red-tailed??? Thanks for your help!

Blue-eyed Hawk ID

The immature Cooper's Hawk has a yellow eye that turns red at age 6 years. In bad light it might be seen as brown in the adult bird. I've never seen a blue-eyed accipiter, but I've never seen a blue-eyed red-tail either. I agree with a little uncertainty with the others that it is a juvenile red-tail, but I'd like to see the length of that tail better. The blue eye is an anomaly that I never knew existed in red-tails. Great shot!

Good shots of what is clearly a Red-tailed Hawk, despite the blue eye.

He has a lot of white plumage. He might be a partial albino.

Had this one in my Driveway in Michigan today, very similiar. Eating Worms, I am thinking a juvenile red tail also, they are common around here
