I'm planning on taking several hours of pictures of the Geminid Meteor shower at the Trona Pinnacles in Southern California in a couple of weeks. I would like to connect my cameras (Canon 5D Mk III and Mk IV) to power packs via dummy batteries, so I don't have to change batteries, or risk missing shots. What brands and models to people recommend, and do you have any things to watch out for?
Thanks.

check Amazon for ACK-E6 AC Power Adapter Gonine Decode ACK-E6 + DR-E6 DC Coupler Kit (LP-E6/LP-E6N Battery Replacement) for Canon EOS 70D/7D, EOS 60D/6D, EOS 5D Mark II III, EOS 5DS, EOS 5DS-R Camera.
100% Compatible with Original ACK-E6 AC Power Adapter Kit, can implement original all functions.
The DR-E6 DC Coupler can’t use alone, need equip this kit’s AC/DC adapter so that works well with camera(Notice: please make sure the battery cover is closed before using camera).
Input:100~240V AC ,1.5A 50~60Hz,Output: DC 8V/3A 24W.
Continuously charge for camera without camera battery and lengthy studio shoots with no need to continuously replace and recharge multiple batteries.
Kit includes an AC Cord to plug into the outlet ,a DR-E6 DC Coupler to replace Canon LP-E6/ LP-E6N Battery, and an AC Adapter AC-E6 to connect the AC wire and DR-E6 DC Coupler.
I'll be out in the wilderness and need something to connect to an external battery, not a wall socket. So I need a DC adapter, not an AC adapter.

Might this be what you're looking for? I've been looking for something to use where I could use my power packs for my 6d mark ii and 7d mark ii. Didn't search for your specific camera, but you might find what you need through this link:

You get an inverter for your car.
