The "Trophy Fox Squirrels" of Indiana

I just wrote an article for my blog on photographing some fox squirrels, and I think some of you will find it useful to see how easily I made the images. I cover my exposure and focusing choices, and discuss AF Microadjustment that was prominent in my most recent post here on the "Hedgehogs." Hope you enjoy it.

I just do things the easy way that produces the quality I always am seeking. I realize I often do things in non-traditional ways (early advocate of Auto ISO and always against aperture-priority), but I just find they work far better for me than more accepted methods, though, I do notice more are adopting ways more similar to how I and my friends all work.

Thanks for the link! While I am not a fan of squirrels learning successful techniques used by others can only help improve mine

A really good example that the photo does not always have to center the object in the center. I love the composition and all the rest of the technical aspects of the shot.

I try not to center wildlife images, but normally compose them or crop the image to make the critter look into the image. Just a guideline I use.
