My dream is to own my own farm so I can walk out in the afternoon after a morning of hard work and see this.
Come to Wisconsin....Many a farm here.....follow your dreams.....

My sister lived in WI, sounded beautiful. She now has a farm in VT absolutely beautiful there.
This was taken in the rarely seen farmlands of NJ. I guess there's not enough drama and "reality" to show the garden state at its best. lol
My barn is grey and could use a coat of paint, there's enough room for a cow or two and chickens and ducks.......
You'd have to clear land to grow crops of any worth, but the calm and peacefulness reigns. Mostly, there are just wild animals that live in the wilderness that surrounds me, but I bet the deer would love it if they had a whole field planted with corn.......lots of hard work to keep you busy with farming here in NC
I'd like to live on a farm too, so I have the next best thing, I live in a farming area. I have farm fields all around me, and enjoy the smell of the dirt when the farmers are plowing, the different seasons of the fields, and all that is involved in harvesting. Although, a cow never looks so big as when you are staring out of your windshield just inches away after having to jump on your brakes because they escaped their pasture.
I live on a farm with horses, couple of dogs, a barn cat, 2 parrots. I'm getting old and dread the day I have to leave it. Now and then we have fog over the pasture and as it lifts, I hate to see it go away. It makes the horses look so peaceful, grazing for some breakfast.
We once had ducks, geese, chickens, peacocks, a pet goat, a pet pig and 9 cats. Cyotes got all the cats but one. Hawks got all the chickens, The fox family got the ducks and a neighbor's dogs eventually ran off the geese and we found them about 2 miles away, but never could prove they were ours. Where they landed was where they stayed. Thank goodnes, nothing got the horses...YET, but the deer come up in the pasture to graze with them.

My dream too! I was born in a large city and didn't move to the country until I married and convince hubby I needed horses!!! I had wanted them all my life. I wish you the very best at finding and having your dream some day!

Great shot, most people will never be convinced how beautiful New Jersey is. It is not called the Garden State for nothing. I grew up in New Jersey and always appreciated it's beauty

your shot brings back memories.
i had a farm in door county ( Wisconsin) with 40 acres. There is nothing more peaceful that being able to go down to the woods and just set and listen to the wildlife. Watch the Deer and Turkeys run about. Pond and wild berry patch as well.
Oh the memories..
Keep your hopes alive and maybe some day soon, you will find you own that farm.
You can always rent a farm to live there. Been there ,did that.
