Photobum Loc: Auburn, Washington

This is a second photo of a church in the small town where my dad was born & raised. My wife and I made a beeline trip from the Puget Sound region of Washington to Deering, ND to research family history. Anyway, it was a beautiful day and this subject could only be rendered in b&w. I may have gotten carried away with the tone of the sky, though.

The sky looks fine to me, and the church is a treasure. It really is more attractive to me than some of the huge, extravagant modern houses of worship.

I probably would agree on the sky but did not see what you had to work with. A little lighter sky would probably have worked but the church and landscape are a knock out, well done.

I think you did a great job. I have been following some of your other posts and I really like your work especially in B&W. You composition is excellent and your photos have a charm about them. I especially liked the shot of the stairs you posted. I am just a beginner but even I can recognize quality work when I see it. Keep them coming!
