Thank you manofhg! Aren't you happy that we have digital photography! I know I am!!! LOL! Paste wax! Will have to try that! I have tried liquid glycerin when dropping onto some items....with some success but not always of course...depending on what I am using as a "prop". I like the idea of the past wax. I have never bought any. Could you give me an idea of what to get? I find that many photographers have specific brands that they use and it helps to know. Again.... I think this is a gorgeous shot.

Also on the subject of mediums to use... I also use glycerin with food colouring when working with abstracts in water. The glycerin drops to the bottom and saves changing the water every time. This is a terrible picture but the only one I have as an example. I needed more DOF to get better sharpness. Need to get another small fish tank!!! OMG. Thought that came to mind!!! I wonder what it would be like to add food coloring to drops when using a setup like you have done..... hmmmmmm.
