I recently sent a Canon 5D MkII, when I upgraded to a Mk IV, to Adorama's used department and received what I thought was a low offer and had it returned. Then I heard about MPB, contacted them and shipped it off. To make a long story short I realized a $120.00 increase in the offer from MPB. Since then I have purchased 2 lenses and a flash from them. I couldn't be happier with their service!

I have a Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens I am considering selling in order to buy the Sony 18-135 to replace it. It is in as-new condition with the box and all accessories. B&H offered me $240 for it. MPB offered me $320 for it. Quite a difference. If you don't want to sell your equipment on the forum, I would definitely check out MPB.

I like both vendors, but it is interesting that B&H also wants a higher price for the items being sold used than MPB, apparently MPB works a much lower profit margin, and it is gaining them customers at a rapid rate. As I said earlier, I've been very happy with my purchases, and no issues after months of use (body and several lenses).

Thanks to one and all for your replies.
All my stuff is in good shape, the Tamron's are like new.
I think I will take some advice and give U.H. a shot.
I do have a pay pal account. I have always bought with it. Not quite sure how it works to sell stuff.
Whatever doesn't sell here, I will use MPB.
For some reason even unknown to me, I need them, gotta have em, life will be so much cooler with them. A 100-400 mm L and a 180 mm L macro lens.
But I have to sell this stuff first. I could buy now, and then, everything piece of gear I have will be for sale, after my wife kills me graveyard dead.

Well I did play drums in bunch Blues bands.
In fact it's how I blew out my back.
I went to hit my floor tom and that was it.
I can still play but, I can't do 3 sets anymore.
Oh well, I had fun while it lasted.
Serious fun.

Sold my old Sigma 150-500mm to them re gently. Very fair price and easy to deal with. I am planning on using them again to unload some other unused gear. Certainly can recommend.

Well that makes two of us (Drums - Blues/Rock/Jazz - mostly blues), 3 1/2 decades before I decided to call it. Weekend warrior, it was fun for a long time, tough as a business.

I recorded a couple albums, sold 3 or 4 copies [thanks mom and dad]
I stopped touring after almost ODing somewhere in Ohio.
Had a couple kids and after that, did some local session work.
Did the bar thing. Hung it up after I blew out my back
In Colorado it's getting harder and hader to find a room to play.
Owners are getting cheaper.
At 65, the very thought of lugging my kit around for a few bucks doesn't spin my wheels anymore.
It was fun though wasn't it?

Yep, mostly bar bands, some local recording stuff, made lots of tapes, most of that dissolved (metal falls off after a few years). My bass playin brother wants me to get back in, but I'm even older, and I've no desire to get back in it. I can't imagine tryin to run a band now, lugging equipment, and the only time I was ever in bars was when I was playing, otherwise, you can't get me in one...…….. Sometimes it was huge fun, and very satisfying (despite what Mick said)…….. some jamming might be fun, but not at my house!!!!!

How strange, my little brother plays bass also. He playing a Gibson SG
I sold everything, still have a conga drum, but it is just gathering dust.
I do wish I had kept my Blue Sparkle Ludwigs, I had in High School
I have thought about getting a set of electronic drums. Put on my cans and jam along.
But I am retired and where do I want my fun chips [spare cash] to go lenses? Drums?

1967 Ludwig Super Classics, Champaign multi-color sparkle, dbl. tom/on bass & flr. tom, full Paiste cymbal set, chrome snare, etc. (bought em while I was in HS), my mom helped, signed for em, I paid her, she was a singer guitar player, played country and rockabilly on little AM radio shows in Ohio/W. Virginia when she was young. Drums have been in storage for a couple years now. My Bro plays Fender, Jazz Bass, and he has a couple others. Yes, electronic might be the way at our age!! Sold all my PA/Mixers/Recording gear/Speakers/Microphones/Stands etc. when I quit the live gigs.

Well, I guess we hijacked this thread a bit, apologies all around!!!
