In NJ there is a public nude beach in Sandy Hook.There are no signs restricting photography. If I wanted to take photos ( I do not) what would be the legal ramifications assuming they are for my own personal use.Again ,It is a public area with no signs about taking pictures

If they are just for your own personal use, then there are no legal restrictons, but as soon as you think about using them in any other way, you can not use them anymore without a release!

Actually you can probably sell such photographs to just about anyone, exactly the same as any other picture. That changes for "commercial" use.

A lot depends on if you piss someone off. I shoot a lot of people but they are clothed and still get a few who don’t like it . I would tread with caution or get a long lens.

"Public" means no private ownership, and many places that people consider public are actually owned by individuals or corporations. Maybe the absence of "No Photography" signs is just common sense. I can't imagine these people being okay with a stranger taking pictures of them. Walking around fully clothed would attract attention, I would think.
