A little northwest of Portland Oregon is Sauvie Island, a place I love to return to when I visit the Pacific Northwest. I look forward to seeing these pretty recycled old pickup trucks. This year, because of the lack of rainfall this summer, the flowers weren't as robust. Still I enjoyed driving by them.

Interesting location Katy. Thanks for sharing.

Nice set of photos. This would be a great idea for junk yards...to beautify their entrance and display an alternative use for old pick up trucks. Thanks for posting.

Katy, what a way to display the old trucks and the flora at the same time.

Nice photos, but from a gearhead's point of view I hate to see these vehicles deteriorate as glorified flower pots when they could be restored or modified as streetrods. These are hot items as collector vehicles!

I can see your point but think of how many people get to enjoy them now, Streetrodder.

I wonder when they started doing that? We used to go fishing on Sauvies Island in the 1970s. I don't remember these being there.
