I do not use GPS for in my photography. For ordinary photos it is not needed. GPS is needed for travel photography, because locations are important for them.

OR-- It's how he uses geotagging?

Wish I could say I was, but there is plenty of documentation for criminal acts and sexual transgression where criminals have sought out targets by taking pictures to acquire target locations. So much for legal and righteous use of GPS for legitimate purchases. It is also used for nefarious purposes as the news media and law enforcement records show.
One death or crude use of GPS defies all the supposedly legitimate uses for the technology for any reason.
I am not just joking around about this horrible tool, and do not use it for any purpose.
